Willy Page Biography

William is a 3rd generation Wrought Iron Blacksmith. At 10 years of age William lost his left eye through an accident. This didn’t hinder his career progression in brass, iron and bronze casting for many famous sculptors.

Michael modelled William in clay on a traditional wooden armature. He crafted a mould with silicone and a fibreglass case. From there he took a plaster cast with a steel threaded bar through the centre for mounting. Michael then refined the modelling on the dried cast and sealed it with a white wash, giving it a marble like finish. The finished portrait was then mounted on a granite cube.

Measurements = Height 49cm Width 18cm Depth 26cm.
